I love this...beautiful textures and design...looks like a secret entrance in an old haunted house;)

Thank you. I wasn't sure where this was going when I first started it, but I think it turned out really well. I tried to make it so that when someone looked at it closely they would catch the little details, like the fact that the wallpaper and the canvas appear to be the same material, the woman's right arm extends outside of the framed canvas and the first key is within the painting while the other appears to actually be falling out of it. To get people to think about whether the door that is revealed is a part of the painting and the peeling canvas merely an illusion, or is the canvas actually torn and pulled back, along with the wallcovering to reveal a door hidden behind both.

It is all about trying to seperate the illusion from the reality....to do more then just scratch the surface. Hopefully it was successful. If nothing else, it makes for a nice wallpaper for my desktop lol.

it's a very intriguiging composition...would make an excellent bookjacket.....I liked the sense of ...layers...you know, Umberto Eco's idea of a palimpsest?...each layer...adds to,obscures, and reveals new things...they become more as a whole than they ever would be as individual images....a delightful deviation:heart:
